I have not yet progammed a Playstation, the documentation
says that it is easy, see in particular

as a starting point.  Though not officially supported for the IBM
compilers, people have gotten advice on the IBM Forum on CBE and
there is http://www.ydl.net/ for asking questions.
The company Yellow Dog Linux sells a play station 3 with Linux
already installed: http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/
