Try turning off the Ethernet off load features of your NICs. I've seen
offload be broken such that will it works with most stuff but SSH will
complain for security reasons.
Start with
ethtool -K eth0 tso off
see

-------------------Dear all at Beowulf,
As I mentioned in my previous email, I have a problem with ssh
connection to our Beowulf cluster. I did put an email in Beowulf
mailing list group, but with no answer. It is hard to believe that
nobody knows anything about this problem, so, I sent this email for
the second time. Following please find the content of my previous
email. I WOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR ANY COMING ANSWER!

Hi everybody at Beowulf,
I have a serious problem with ssh connection to our cluster. Every
hint/help/suggestion, which can help me to solve it, is highly
appreciated.
Most of the time, when users want to connect and run their programs
from their own PCs, the ssh connection failed, especially during
transfer files from/to head-node. Our user's PCs are mainly WindowsXP,
so they use packages like SSH Secure Shell for connection and file
transfer, or Putty for connection and WinSCP for file transfer.
The error massage is as follows:
' Disconnecting: Corrupted MAC on input'
or
' Disconnecting: bad packet length...', followed by a long integer.
This problem has practically made our cluster unusable. So, I would be
thankful for any coming advice.
