Sun wasa sinking ship, and Oracle just yelled "Hold my beer!" and took
the wheel at the last minute, Linux and the major x86 vendors were
killing off all the old 'big unix' companies. It was just a matter of
time before it would be Sun's turn.

Possibly a good option - if I didn't trust Oracle even less than
IBM. I wonder if ElRepo will work that the Oracle distro? RH has
removed a lot of hardware support lately and for some older machines
ElRepo drivers are needed to even install.
That link has a script for converting from CentOS 6 or 7 to Oracle's
version. But not 8, which is ironic in this context.
Is there a CentOS forums equivalent for this distro somewhere in
"Oracle Communities" or elsewhere?
(Please forward this reply to the list. For some reason this week
while I am able to receive mail from beowulf.org it is not accepting
my emails.)
