We have four cats in our family - from eldest to youngest - Smokey, who ignores Mattie; Lucy, who swats at Mattie; Joaquin (a Siamese who thinks that he is a dog), who plays and cuddles with Mattie; and Felicia, who tolerates Mattie (notable since she holds other canines in utter contempt). The cats have definitely trained Mattie to believe that they run the house - maybe because they had experience training us! Sue Burnham and Matilde Santa Fe, NM
