Lisa, I agree with you 100% and get ready for flames from some on this list. 2 years ago I reached the same point as you, I wanted to scream from the rooftops where my 2 berners came from, so I could find out if their littermates were gone too. I actually had some threatening email for stating my opinion that every breeder should learn basic genetics/biology before they continue on "guessing" what's best. It makes me sad to see how fast our club is growing, because there seems to be Berners everywhere, which means everyone is jumping on the breeding band wagon to make a quick dollar and many are breeding simply because their breeder above them asked them to do it. Like a crazy pyramid scheme! Nice huh? What about all the owners like myself that have spent 3 years missing their Berners and explaining it to their children over and over again.
I could go on and on, but I just wanted to applaud Lisa because I know her pain. Sharon Gaffney Higgins almost 2!
