>My Berner is 3 months old and just notice the flaking 3 days ago

Hello,

At this age it is not unusual to have some dandruff as the coat is
slowly changing from fluffy puppy coat to the shiney adult coat.
The adult coat seems to start at the "nether regions" of muzzle and tail
- you will see a band of shiney hair about half way up/down the tail.
This works up the tail (as well as down) and along the back and the
muzzle hair works its way up the head - at one point your puppy will
have what the Berner folk call the "muffin head" look or possibly the
"punk doo" - where he/she has lost all his/her puppy hair except for the
back part of his/her skull where it seems to stay for months resembling
a bad muppet character. You MUST take pictures at this point - just so
you remember that "look" - it is adorable!!!

Good luck with your new companion
Bernerly,
