After reading some of the eating stories, I just had to add this one. When our first Berner was a pup, we visited relatives in the UK. On a visit to a park on the southern coast we met a couple with a young Berner and approached them to get our Berner fix, having left ours at home. They had named their dog "Hoover" in honor of his propensity for scarfing up anything and everything that he could find. My first thought was that was what we should have named ours for exactly the same reason.
