Not a vet....just read. The report from Dr. Dodd suggests check levels
4-6hrs after the morning dose.
The typical dose is .1mg/10 lbs twice daily. Of course use your head and
if something looks wrong (how the dog is acting) then contact your vet
and discuss the dose with him. 

I would love to hear what vets think about this thyroid issue. I've
discussed it with my vet and we both shared info we found (haha...we gave
each other the same reports so we are at least on the same track). I
think if ever in doubt the best bet is discussing possibilities and
outcomes with your vet. A good vet will be open to ideas and input.
