Hi Andie, How old is Steamboat? Puppies and young dogs will lick the faces of the dominant bitch in the house as a mark of respect:-) They don't do this with the males. I have a "humble harry" bitch who is always trying to give me big sloppy kisses and she pulls a soft goofy face when doing this and wiggles her body.
