"Hello Everyone, I wanted to update you all on Zola, the 10 year old Appenzeller in Gainesville. Thanks to the quick responses and networking from all of you, it looks like this boy is going to have a wonderful home. A retired veterinarian in TN saw Lisa Allen's post to the Appenzeller list and immediately became very interested in the dog. She and her partner have a 4 month old Appenzeller mix, a 14 month old Carolina dog and they just lost their old Newf/Ridgeback. From my communications with her, I know that they would provide a wonderful and loving home for this poor dog so sadly abandoned by his owner. She is making arrangements to go down to Gainesville to meet Zola and take home. I cannot thank all of you enough for your help in this sad situation. I have been involved in several Appenzeller rescue situations over the years and your people have been of great help in each and every one.
