Incidentally.. if the device was wiped as a result of incorrect password
attempts... then you will not see any log entries for that event.

Subject: [Bes-admins] Stolen Blackberry

Does anyone know if a Blackberry wipes itself via an IT policy, does it report
back to the server and show up in the logs?

We've had a stolen phone, last connected a few days ago. The Wipe/Disable is
in the queue, but I'm thinking that by now the person who stole it must have
exceeded the number of password attempts and the handheld wiped itself.

Is there a way to confirm that a wipe occurred?

Thanks.
