All of our BBs are company owned, however, our IT Policy is not very
restrictive. We allow 3rd party apps. If I put in a lengthy password
requirement, I would never hear the end of it! We use AutoLock for the
standard keyboard lock. We don't disable USB Mass Storage mode because some
folks like to have some photos or music on their SD card.

All of our machines run a program called USBVirusScan, which automatically
starts an antivirus scan anytime anything is plugged into a USB port.

Subject: [Bes-admins] BlackBerry IT Policy

Hi all,
Just want to get a feel for how restrictive is everyone BlackBerry IT Policy?

Our current controls:
1) Dissallow Third Party Application Download
2) BlackBerry Device Password ( Min. 6 character + numeric + alpha)
3) Disable USB Mass Storage Mode

With the new BlackBerry AppWorld, is anyone opening their policy to allow users
to install applications?
