Greetings, Trish, honest, only mugs of tea, nothing stronger and, dave, do you mean the Keynote which came out in about 1988, least this is when I purchased mine, think it came from New Zealand and if correct, I also used to love making it produce interesting noises. The first one had a fantastic 40kb of storage, I decided to obtain the second version, this had a massive 84kb storage. I still have mine, not used it for ages as the keyboard does not function properly, think it needs a new membraine or something.
In the UK, I purchased my Keynote from a supplier called LVA Marketting and the chap who came down with the system, in a previous job, trained me with my first guide dog, Martin, in July-August 1972 at Cleve House, Exeter, Devon. His name was Simon Foreacres. Martin worked until October 1981, he had to be put to sleep three years and seven days later, stopped work on 5 and put to sleep on 12 October, 1984, he lived with my parents and I along with my second dog, Coral, with whom I trained at cleve House, Exeter, Devon, in May/June 1982, with dan Clarke whom I have not met since. Coral retired January 1992, went to stay with a vicar at Godstone, Surrey, whereas Martin behaved much like an old dog, Coral still had loads of life in her and I later discovered she really made her mark on the village. Enough about me, so let's hear some interesting sounds then!! Colin, who by the Lord's providence remains living near Fareham in Southern England, hopes you will enjoy a very blessed Christmas and a most peaceful, prosperous and happy New Year during 2014. to send a message to the group: [email protected] group owner: [email protected] The web page for users of your mailing list is: http://lists.blindtech-list.info/listinfo.cgi/best-circle-of -friends2-blindtech-list.info List archives can be found at http://lists.blindtech-list.info/private.cgi/best-circle-of- friends2-blindtech-list.info To join the group or unsubscribe or get help [email protected] Regards
