I guess so, I played enough of it, and I had a friend and brother which
played the atari version to death. Not to mention I have available a
packMan
game in my PC which I can play anytime I want, available to anyone who
wants
it. although it's not very jaws friendly though.. I don't play it
myself as
I can't see well enough to play it, but I hold on to it for those who
can,
and would enjoy such a retro game. smiles!

there were 4 ghosts, and 4 power pills. the ghosts chased you while you
tried to clear the board of all the little dots (wafers). The power
pills
made the ghosts vonerable for a few seconds, making it so you could eat
them
too and get more points, or help you clear more dots or get out of harms
way. when you'd eat a ghost it had to go back to it's nest to
regenerate,
and meanwhile little extra point treasures like cherries or cookies,
would
pop up in the middle of the board. in the arcade version of pacMan there
were 2 fast exits on each side of the board for a fast get away. and on
the
atari version, those fast exits were at the top and bottem of the
board.

ahahaha that was a burst of memory lane Chris.
I had forgotten the cherries and wasn't there ghosts that popped out
randomally too? or is that another game I'm thinking of.
I had it backwards too, pacman is yellow and the dots were blue
it was a wild time, everyone was pacman crazed

1982, was also the year PackMan was popular, and there was a song
created
about the game, called: PackMan Fever, by Bucner & Garcia made the same
year:
