I'm new at this and having difficulty with setting files paths. After reading the manual, FAQs, etc., I still am not setting a file path correctly. Here's what I've done: I set up a few stocks in my Portfolios under List 1 to download. It downloads historical data from the website and displays the symbols along with prices, etc. So far, so good.
I selected Stocks>Set Historical Quote file path.... and the window for setting the path displays. I made a folder called HistoricalQuotes under folder "M-C". I set the file path as "c:\M-C\HistoricalQuotes\ in the text box on the left. I set ".txt" in the text box on the right. I noticed that in your example it showed "c:\histfolder\as SYMBOL v.txt. I've tried the file path as I wrote it in 2 above and as you wrote it in your example with the "as" and "v". It would not download. I then checked the file "FilePathHIST.txt" in the folder "M-C". It showed the following on one line: 'uSa88UsA,c:\M-C\HistoricalQuotes\,.txt, Also, the folder "HistoricalQuotes" is empty. My PC uses Windows XP. 1. What am I doing wrong and how do I correct it? 2.
