Rick,

I've been giving VectorVest serious thought. Any possibility you might advise as to the criteria you employ?

Thanks,
David

Technical Analysis software is like picking ties. What I love, you might
hate.

I use several, each for some features I prefer.

Most of the tecnical indicators are about the same, no matter who's
software you use.

I use TC2000 more for their reasonably priced data and the ability to view
that data easily with other programs. I am not a fan of their software.

I like Fast Track for mutual fund data and I like their Accutrack chart.
The Accutrack is the best way I have found to see at a glance which of
several funds I should be in. I mainly use it to compare a small cap fund
against a money market fund. I move money between the two based on the
Accutrack chart.

I love Amibroker and it gets better all the time. With it I can use TC2000
and Fast Track databases without even having to import them. This keeps me
from being dependant on Yahoo's questionable data.

I use Vector Vest for the ability to set criteria and quickly search 7,800
stocks for those that meet my criteria. I used it the night of 9/8/04 to
pick 10 stocks for a portfolio. The portfolio is up about 25% and all the
stocks have gained.

I usually use Best Charts on a stock before buying it to reinforce my
choice.

Rik,
I subscribe to two services that provide me with daily
recommendations (both long and short). I research these stocks using
Stockcharts, and Best-charts. I see repeated references to
Metastock, TC2000 and other services that your subscribers are
combining with Best-charts. Am I missing more detailed research by
not using any of these other services. Or would adding any of these
services constitute overkill?? I welcome your ideas.
Barry Y.
