The new version 4.40 is not programmed to have the Yahoo data
urls hardwired into the program.
We have all witnessed the problem this
caused in earlier versions. If Yahoo changed url formats it caused Best Charts
to fail and we had to wait for the developer to issue a new
version.
Also, if you wanted to change the format of the data downloaded,
such as the Technical Indicators in the intraday charts, or the time period of
the quotes, you couldn't.
This new version 4.40 introduces the ability
for you to do these things.
The developer wants to be sure you are
familiar with how to enter the urls for the program to use to download the data.
Therefore the program is provided without the urls installed. You must install
the urls insuring that you become familiar with this feature. Until you do, B-C
v4.40 will not work.
Scroll down the web page and look for Please test version 4.40 and read the help.
Click the "read the help" link. I suggest you copy the text on
the help page and save it in a Notepad txt file.
