Hi Rohan,
I was using the trial version of BC software for some time. I was relying on the 'Intraday MicroCharts to track the movements of the prices of scrips I was interested in. Even though there is a delay of 15 mins, they were very helpful in taking decision to buy or sell. I didn't make use of any of the other technical tools the software is loaded with. Maybe they are useful too. I did not use them because I do not have time to study each individual scrip separately.
After the trial period was over, I decided to purchase it. What I purchased was version 4.34, just a month ago. Within two weeks after I started using it, the name-codes on the charts of most of the scrips changed to numbers. This has made the Identification of the scrips very difficult. I appears that BC is displaying the charts as it is available from the Yahoo site and so creators or BC are not responsible for this joke. As far as I am concerned, this has made BC software practically useless.
There is another problem with the software. There is a facility to open 20 pages, each containing 40 charts. There is a facility for the user to name these lists, which are numbered form 1 to 20. However when you have opened a page of charts, the name or number of the page does not appear on the open page. This makes it impossible to identify, which page of the 20 is open, unless you have good memory. Over this, the number codes in place ot the name-codes completes the chaotic and messy affair. I did write to the makers, pointing out these problems, but they do not seem neither sense it themselves or understand the problem even when a user writes about it. There is neither a mail from the makers to the users explaning the reason for this user-unfriendly change nor a reply from them when we write to them complaining about it nor is there any sign that they have heeded our complaints as these problems remain unresolved in the 'new' versions.
The makers of BC claim to have made improvements in new versions 4.40 and 4.41. This has resulted in making them more user unfriendly. The the charts appear as before, the data pages are found blank. So I have switched back to version 4.34. At least the data is visible in it.
This is my experience. When a user has a problem and writes about it to the makers of this software, there is both dead silence and total disregard for the needs of the user.
Now the decision to buy or not is yours.
Thanks !! Shyam Raj
