In 6.2b1 - svn 4294, it does not appear that the "Multiple Items In
Tags" is dynamic. I had to rescan to have the setting take affect.
Should rescan be necessary, and is this a bug?
Sorry - I should have been more specific. The Various Artists based settings
are dynamic. The tag splitting still needs to happen at scan time.
