I'e just been using SlimServer 6.1.1 for about a month now. I have it set up to use my iTunes database. Now, my iTunes database is set up sort of funny. Silimserer is running on my home Win 2K server. I have iTunes (the one that slimserver knows about), running on my PC (not the server), and the iTunes Library file is located there. But I have iTunes set up to ahve it's music data stored on a volume on the Server, since it has more disk space and I have over 11,000 songs.
Up until today, Slimserver seemed to have a good handle on how many songs/artists/albums/genres I had. However tonight I checked, and it showed about twice that number. I started browsing individual albums, and in each album, ever song is listed twice, with the duplicates listed one directly after/before the other. Anyone ever see anything like this? Any workarounds? Might it have something to do with someone else running iTunes on my home network that is pointing at my music library? I have tried rescanning the database, clearing the list first. I have always had slimserver set with a specific Music Folder. Perhaps I should tell it not to use iTunes, though I would like to use it for the artwork I've imported. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, = Ed = -- Gonzo _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
