Not sure how you are envisaging a song to be disabled... My use of a iTunes rating of 1 with a smart playlist allows me to exclude an obscure album track when I'm in "shuffled PlayList (or Random Mix)" mode but allows me to play a full album and get those obscure album tracks when I'm in "listen to that specific album (warts and all)" mode.
