while dealing with the upgrade from 6.1.1 to 6.2.2 and firmware version 29, here are a few of my notes.
Setup; Linksys wmp54g pci wireless adapter linksys wrt54g router. SB2 connect to receiver, wirelessly to network. Pc is windows xp with 1gb memory. Server is in same room as router. When I try play songs and/or internet radio while being totally wireless, I get dropouts. As the time gones on, the dropouts get worse. If I connect my server/pc to the router via ethernet cable, everything works as designed. No dropouts, no stuttering, no no no nothing! Just music. So it appears that my issue is between the server and the router. Could it be that data is not passed fast enough from the server to the router, thus I need to use the linksys speedier adapter?
