Well not much response to this one, but I've got a theory - Using Task Manager on Xp shows that when Random play is started or a new track is added,
on 6.2.2 around 11,000 disc access's are made, with 6.5 around 100,000 disc access's are made. I know that my C drive is not particularly fast so maybe that is why I'm seeing the problem and others aren't. So is there a good reason for a 10x increase in number of disc access's?
