I'm grabbing values from status.xml to build a page on our web site that shows what's currently playing.
With this version: SlimServer Version: 6.2.2 - 6751 - Windows 2000 - EN - cp1252 ...everything works great. With these versions, however: SlimServer_v2006-04-06.exe (6.2.2) SlimServer_v2006-04-08.exe (6.5b1) ...the Squeezebox playback freezes for several moments at the beginnings of songs while my scripts to grab the xml, etc. execute. I believe this is because with these later versions, http://localhost:9000/xml/xml.status takes an innordinate amount of time to load. On my machine, using build 6751 of Slimserver, the page loads in a browser in a second or less.
