Unfortunately, enabling --d_sql caused my server to crash (repeatedly and reproduceably) upon returning to the home page. As a result, I can't get you any log data that way. Are any other debugging settings likely to be useful? If it matters, I have been using a seperate installation of MySQL 5.0.11 with 'dbsource: dbi:mysql:hostname=127.0.0.1;port=3306;database=databasename' specified in preferences.
