Finally got the library to populate correctly. I ended up running scanner.pl from a terminal with the --force and --wipe options enabled. After 20 minutes or so, all 13,000 tracks showed up.
Don't know why the initial scan after the upgrade couldn't find valid audio files in my Library path. I have the nightly library rescan enabled. I'll keep an eye on the logs and see how it does tomorrow morning.
