I believe I have a problem with the partial scan. I have an album by an artist with a long name. I changed the tags to shorten the name to "A Silver Mt. Zion". The album name is "This Is Our Punk-Rock, These Rusted Satellites Gather + Sing".
After the change, I performed a scan. I ended up with two albums by the artist with identical names. I have checked and rechecked my tags several times in different editors. The first has tracks 1, 2, 4, the second entry has track 3. The artist, genre, year tags are all identical. I have tried loading the album via Browse Music Folder to force a rescan, and done several normal scans. I have noticed this same problem with another album too. I have now done a full rescan, and the albums are listed fine. Any ideas what could cause a normal partial scan to not work? Most of the time I don't have any trouble. I should raise a bug, only I haven't got the problem with the library any more.
