Playing FLAC works okay too. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing JRE 1.5.0_09, Java MP3 Plugin and Softsqueeze (on Windows XP SP2).
When you press play, the Softsqueeze display changes to "Now Playing" but no sound appears and the time display stays on "00:00". Softsqueeze console shows: Code: -------------------- 30560 [SlimTCP-1] ERROR javasound - Unsupported Audio Stream javax.sound.sampled.UnsupportedAudioFileException: not an MP3 file at com.sun.media.codec.audio.mp3.JS_MP3FileReader.getAudioFileFormat(JS_MP3FileReader.java:228) at com.sun.media.codec.audio.mp3.JS_MP3FileReader.getAudioInputStream(JS_MP3FileReader.java:131) at com.sun.media.codec.audio.mp3.JS_MP3FileReader.getAudioInputStream(JS_MP3FileReader.java:93) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.AudioDecoder.<init>(AudioDecoder.java:144) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.Player.initStream(Player.java:525) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.Player.connect(Player.java:397) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.Player.slimprotoCmd(Player.java:211) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.net.Protocol.socketCommand(Protocol.java:421) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.net.Protocol.access$400(Protocol.java:42) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.net.Protocol$TcpSocket.run(Protocol.java:520) 30606 [SlimTCP-1] ERROR player - strm Audio error org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.AudioException: Unsupported Audio Stream at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.AudioDecoder.<init>(AudioDecoder.java:212) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.Player.initStream(Player.java:525) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.Player.connect(Player.java:397) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.Player.slimprotoCmd(Player.java:211) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.net.Protocol.socketCommand(Protocol.java:421) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.net.Protocol.access$400(Protocol.java:42) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.net.Protocol$TcpSocket.run(Protocol.java:520) -------------------- I wonder if this is related to the gapless MP3 changes (I did a wipe and rescan for this). The other problem I'm seeing is with skins. After a fresh install, Softsqueeze shows the Transporter skin. Choosing the SB3 doesn't work - it accepts the choice but still shows the Transporter. Selecting SB2 and OK, then SB3 and OK shows SB3 okay.
