When it comes to core functionality, I'd say yes. There's still some work in progress, though, which may touch you or not: plugin API (if you want to run 3rd party plugins), the new skin (you can always use the now "Classic" skin), SQN integration and surely more. Back up your current installation and give SS7 a try.
