I would agree with you that installing SS7 via this method doesn't work
right now, and needs to be fixed. I came upon a very similar issue when
I tried via this method.

However, if you are just looking to have a working SS7 on Ubuntu, I
suggest downloading the tar.gz source code and running from that.
