That all sounds like outdated JS to me: there was a bug in the player selector which didn't correctly update the left part. I fixed this a few days ago. But can you make sure you don't have any local changes or broken files. Run "svn cleanup" or even "svn revert" to be sure. If this still doesn't help - start all over again with a fresh checkout (or the tarball to test with).
