I hoped to get the install process simple and quick at the expense of CD download time. I don't know. I guess the big advantage of the http install is that stuff is downloaded from mirrors with lot's of bandwidth vs. my DSL connection. It's still not that easy to get the image size down because of all the RPM dependency bloat. Just the Core and Base package groups pull in enough dependencies to make the CD quite large. It'll take some effort to analyze the list and exclude unneeded packages. By the way, I started this project because I wanted to learn about kickstart, so this is my first attempt. I've added a link to the webpage if you (or anyone else) is interested in looking at the ks.cfg file while waiting for the download. -- Fletch ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fletch's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=529 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40818 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
