I turned all three of the scanner logging options to debug, and did a full rescan last night in the hope I might get some clues. Unfortunately I couldn't see anything relating to ARTISTSORT etc. in the log files. Something that did appear loads of times in the log though, were these lines:
MPEG::Audio::Frame::broken (618) Warning: Use of uninitialized value in right bitshift (>>) at /usr/share/squeezecenter/lib/MPEG/Audio/Frame.pm line 618, <$mpeg> chunk 8. MPEG::Audio::Frame::broken (616) Warning: substr outside of string at /usr/share/squeezecenter/lib/MPEG/Audio/Frame.pm line 616, <$mpeg> chunk 8 MPEG::Audio::Frame::broken (616) Warning: Use of uninitialized value in unpack at /usr/share/squeezecenter/lib/MPEG/Audio/Frame.pm line 616, <$mpeg> chunk 8. MPEG::Audio::Frame::broken (618) Warning: Use of uninitialized value in right bitshift (>>) at /usr/share/squeezecenter/lib/MPEG/Audio/Frame.pm line 618, <$mpeg> chunk 14. Does that look like a problem? I'm not too sure how to progress this now, so I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
