I had a song (songA) on my filesystem that was a duplicate of another song (songB) in a different folder on my filesystem. The id3 genre for songA was set to '1', so I could browse to it in the web interface by going to: Music Folders -> Genres -> 1 -> Ozzy Osbourne -> Miscellaneous.
Since I had the same song properly stored elsewhere as songB, I deleted songA. Then I did a "Clear and Rescan" of my library expecting songA's listing to be removed from SqueezeCenter. However, after the scan completed, Genre '1' is still listed under Genres even though there are no more songs with this id3 genre tag. Furthermore, the first time after doing the "Clear and Rescan", clicking on the '1' genre shows me 'Ozzy Osbourne' and allows me to drill down to the "song", but of course, I can't play it. ;-) Interestingly enough, after drilling down to it once and navigating back up to the top, subsequent navigations into Genre -> 1 don't show any sub-sections and it stops here. Is the "Clear and Rescan" not properly clearing all song information from the database before populating it again from the scan? I'm using the following: SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 15928 - Red Hat - EN - utf8 (installed via yum repo) Fedora 7 -- kyleki ------------------------------------------------------------------------ kyleki's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2510 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41867 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
