The TPE2 (BAND) tag is irrelevant - its just another contributing artist to the songs. If you have differing contributors on songs from the album, that album will by default be a compilation album, and will by default appear under "Various Artists". If ALBUMARTIST is set the same for each song on an album, by definition you are saying that the album is by that single (or set of) artist, and therefore not a compilation album. The ALBUMARTIST is defining a different artist to associate the album with, instead of the default "Various Artists" album artist. I wouldn't set ALBUMARTIST or BAND to "Various Artists" for a compilation album, just set the compilation tag for the songs and they will appear in the SqueezeCenter built-in artist called "Various Artists" automatically. I would only set ALBUMARTIST for songs whereby there are guest appearances on the song, such that you really want the album to appear as by the main contributing artist, and thus not be considered as a compilation.
