I agree its not an ideal solution but I guess it depends how you want it all to work. I have replaced the standard browse menus with the non-podcast library menus using the custom browse so I don't see the podcasts when browsing, but I like the fact that I can still search for them if I do want to listen to them. Another plus point is that you can set up any dynamic/sql playlists that you have just to play songs from the active library, so for example all the random playlists just play the music from this non-podcast library. Obviously everyones wants and needs are different but thats the beauty of these plugins. I agree about the annoying tagging of podcasts, I have had the same problem before where 90% of one podcast had genre podcast and the other 10% had comedy or spoken or something else. Very annoying!
