I think a fix will only be released when the FFWD/REW behaviour changes have been made permanent. There are considerations to make sure SBC can also be supported. Triode has developed the UI support for FFW/REW and in the FF/REW re-design thread he provided input about AlienBBC support but I think he is busy developing other parts of SC.
