OK but what I meant was is this problem related to the architecture, i.e. does this happen with 32 bit systems? Intel chips can run AMD64 instructions (mine is an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600). I believe the Celerons (Prescott or later) can run AMD64 too. uname -a will give the architecture you're running, although you don't get AMD64 by accident. In my case: Code: -------------------- [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo uname -a Linux Sauron 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Feb 12 02:46:46 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux -------------------- I should have specified "x86_64" rather than AMD64. -- Mark Lanctot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46097 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
