Due to the changes in 'enhancement request #142' (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=142) SqueezeCenter 7.1 will now be able to remember the modification time of a specific file the first time it was scanned by SqueezeCenter. This timestanp stored in the new "tracks_persistent" table in the "added" column will not be changed if a file is modified and scanned again neither with a full rescan nor with a new/changed file rescan. So this should get you pretty good result as long as the modification time is fairly correct the first time a file is scanned into the SqueezeCenter database.
