hi all- after a loooong delay, we are now pushing 7.3 controller firmware out to 7.3 Squeezecenter users. Your 7.3-based SC will pick up 7.3 r3131 within 12 hours. Alternatively, you can restart SC and it should immediately pick it up.
There is a tantalizing option under Settings->Advanced->TEST_PLAYBACK that will turn your controller into a player, piping the sound out either the super-duper-audiophile internal speaker, or through the headphones. Be it known that this feature is *not fully cooked*. It works...kind of. Volume is at 100% all the time, and it off and on it skips and restarts the track. It's pretty great to hear some sound (other than menu clicks) coming out that headphone jack though! Feel free to open bugs as you see fit, but hold off on audio playback bugs for a little bit yet.
