If you had a workaround installed before and you upgraded your SC, make sure you have remove all trace of the old workaround and then restart SC. SC will not delete conf files you created and these could be breaking the new faad config.
If you have done that and there is still a problem, Get a log of trying to play a problem file. The log should have player.source set to INFO (See WebUI Settings/Advanced/logging).
