It seems someone has worked on the playback of the controller (or only the data transfer?). Until now, Network Test showed a continuous 100% at 500kbps only, but with firmware 7241 I have a continuous 100% at 1500kbps!
Still, playback of flacs is not error free. What I hear is not evidently stuttering, more like intermittent crackles. But there certainly is progress here!
