I believe to have conclusively shown that decode:status().audioState
shows the status of audio coming out the speakers reliably, no matter
the source (local fallback or networked audio). If that's not in good
shape, something needs fixing.

So yes, the fundamental model of sledgehammer changed, and it was
intentional. I expect that an 'rtc' alarm firing and a bad audioState
will be a rare condition, but it's now also covered.

There should be a new firmware being pushed out today. Please give it a
test. I have a great deal more confidence with what's now in the alarm
code than at any point previously.
