Yes, please do these two things. Putting "Restore Hidden Menu Items" on the home menu essentially defeats the purpose of hiding the menus due for inexperienced users (kids, elderly). In fact PLEASE DO provide option for hiding Settings menu as well. Prompt it with some warning in bold letters. Provide some obscure means of unhiding it.
