I don't think so.
When a playlist is saved, it's first saved in the database and then it
generates the m3u file based on the database content. So there are no
direct copying happening from the "clientplaylist" files.
As far as I can see, the "clientplaylist" files are only read when you
initialize and connect a player to the server, for example when a
player connects after a server restart.
I suspect the reason is to make it possible for a current playlist to
survive a rescan, but there is no reason to move them out of the
database for that as there are already parts of the database that
survives a rescan.
