Good questions, Ikabob. I check http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.6 to see the latest version number, then go to http://svn.slimdevices.com/slim/7.6/?view=log to see what changes have been applied since the version I am running. As far as I can tell, the nightly version number is a snapshot at a particular time in the stream of development submissions. Then I make a judgement on whether there is any benefit in upgrading or if there is a risk of calamity. Finally, I check the Beta forum (this forum) to see if anyone is flagging a problem in a later version than I am running. Very occasionally, one of the developers will ask for testing of a new function and if I can contribute I will. -- Wirrunna A camel is a racehorse designed by a committee. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wirrunna's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3225 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90089 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
