I also had exactly the same problem as the OP with WHS v1. I resolved it by downloading the MS redist file vcredist_x86.exe and installing separately, with no problems. However, yet again had to go back to 7.6.1-33011 because, like all releases later than 33011 on my setup, the second phase music file scanning process is painfully slow (1/20th speed) and at same time blocks all players from access Music Folder, thereby making the entire system totally useless for an indefinite time.
