I use 7.8 at home with my Vortexbox server. The value for me of a "released" 7.8, is that at my weekend place I'm stuck with 7.7.x because I often leave the VB there unplugged and leave players setup to work directly with mysb.com for others to use. So if I used 7.8 there on the VB, then switched to mysb.com, there is the back and forth firmware updates/downgrades to some of the players. This just confuses folks, so I leave on 7.7.x there. If mysb.com was also "on 7.8", that solves my switching problem.
