I seem to have found a reproducible bug with this new (otherwise excellent) functionality:
Would you see the same behaviour scanning your collection manually? Do you have any of the other new browse modes (Advanced Browse Modes plugin) enabled?

Please update to the latest builds. There was a bug related to this feature I fixed in the meantime.
