Apologies if any of these have already been requested, I've had a search but not found anything.
1. Restrict certain folders to certain players only I have a number of albums ripped in multi-channel format (DTS-WAV). I want these to -only- show up in (at present) the playlists for the living room and master bedroom, as these Squeezeboxen are both linked to an AV receiver which will decode DTS. I don't want these to accidentally get played in the kitchen or bathroom (analogue outs), dining room (digital out via Arcam Black Box 50 DAC) or Boom (if I ever get one). It won't sound nice! 2. Block "explicit lyrics" tracks from certain players Maybe an extension of the above, or maybe use a "user" ID3v2 tag to specify "explicit lyrics". I want to be able to put the unbleeped versions of chart hits on the system, but not allow them to be played in the kids' bedrooms. If Mini-Squirrel wants to play Azaelia Banks' "212" in her bedroom she'll get the version with the C-word blanked out! 3. Lock down the settings on the Controller It's not possible to hide the Settings menu on the Squeezebox Controller. This means that Little Fingers can get in and start messing with stuff. It would be -really- handy to be able to disable the Settings (re-enable with a key combination such as hold Home and push the middle button for 2 seconds, then enter a 4-digit PIN) so it can't be changed by anyone who doesn't know what they're doing. 4. Lock down the available players on an individual Controller When Mini-Squirrel discovers that she can go to "Choose Player" on her controller and change it from "Bedroom 3" to "Living Room" or "Master Bedroom"... It would be nice to be able to lock Controller 3 down so it can only select "Bedroom 3" or "Bathroom" from the list of available players. Or maybe "Garden" when the landscaping is complete and the outdoor speakers are reconnected. 5. Have an option for "New devices require approval" on LMS At the moment any new Squeeze player can connect to the system without any form of authentication (other than knowing the wi-fi password in the case of wireless units). I'd like to be able to have an option to have an unrecognised device "pending approval" before it can access the music library. This would obviously require the web interface to be password protected. Just a few thoughts. Any comments? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Squirrel's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5785 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104450 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
